“And then shall your light break forth as the light of the morning.” These words of hopeful expectation of redemption in the Lord conclude the powerful oratorio, Elijah. Mendelssohn’s magnum opus follows the Biblical account of the prophet Elijah, revealing themes of faithfulness and righteousness through scenes of God’s provision and power. Central’s Chancel Choir will be joined by orchestra, including David Sinden, organ, and soloists to tell this compelling story.
